This is quite interesting, slightly surprised that you put Trailhead & community events at the center, isn't the SF ecosystem so mature that you can probably build+prove expertise by doing projects etc. with solution partners and the like as well? I know Hubspot definitely hire a lot of Solution Partner folks and there are a lot of them so seems plausible?
This is also a valid route, and honestly would probably help you improve your skills even more than just going to Community Events/Workshops
With that said, if your goal is to get a job, you should probably balance actually improving your skills for the job with meeting face-to-face with real people or promoting your work on LinkedIn to build a brand
